Prettyfying your calendar

January 3, 2010

I must admit that I’m one of those people that aren’t fond of marking their calendars with a big cross or anything of the like, in fear of ruinning it. So that made me always write on them gently with a pencil, with the intention of coming back later and then write it in a more nice way. That day of return never came though …
Yesterday though, an idea occurred to me while I was looking at my new table calender. I thought of sharing it:

So I am pretty sure that a lot of people know about the thing called “deco art”. Briefly explained, it is something really popular in Japan(and its getting popular in other contries too), where the girls – such as the gyarus – decorate their mobilephones, cameras, accessories… everything, with rhinestones, clay figures and etc. So I was inspirated by the idea on doing such a thing on my table calender. And I’m really glad about how it turned out. I think it something both simple and at the same time both easy and nice-looking. But in the end, it looks so much better than a cross across the day-quadrilateral!
